First of all, let us introduce ourselves. We're Pat and Lorna and we've been good friends now for many years. It's always been our dream to run a cafe together, and here we are. We pride ourselves on our relaxed friendly atmosphere, and you can always be sure of a warm welcome, whether you're a visitor or one of our regulars.

Potter About CafeOur food is all homemade and there's something on the menu for everyone, from picking platters for the kids to gourmet burgers for those with a hearty appetite. Check out our specials – our chefs' like to be creative. And if it's a wee treat you're after, we have lots of lovely home baking. We like all our staff to have a go at the baking, so every cake and scone is 'unique' and that's just how we like it!

cafe-insideYou can while away a couple of hours in the ceramic corner, painting the item of your choice and we'll glaze and fire it for you to pick up a few days later. Or if you're a music fan, check out our "what's on" section and find out what else is happening.

As well as children's birthday parties, you can book out the cafe as an evening venue. We can give you a price per hour or a price per head if you want us to cater. Just let us know your budget and remember to byob.

The Thai Burger

A steak burger flavoured with ginger, lime and galangal served with coconut bread, mango raita and filo crisps

The Italian Burger

A steak burger flavoured with basil, thyme, sage, and sundried tomatoes. Served on homemade focaccia bread, with pancetta rosti and parmesan crisp

The Tandoori Experience

A fillet of chicken marinated in our own tandoori yoghurt sauce, served on homemade naan bread, with mango chutney, fresh leaves and minted cucumber

The Moroccan Burger

Two lamb steak burgers flavoured with our own mix of coriander, cinnamon, chilli, and nutmeg. Served in pitta pockets, with yoghurt, and tomato chilli jam

The Mediterranean Burger

Roasted peppers, beans and garam masala served on homemade focaccia bread, with sour cream, tortilla chips and a pepper and tomato salsa.

The Classic Steak

Carefully seasoned steak burger (we use Watson’s ground beef for all our steak burgers) served on a toasted bun with our coleslaw and salad…why not add cheese and bacon?


The Club

Toasted bread (white or brown) 3 tiers with chicken mayonnaise, bacon and salad served with crisps, salad and homemade coleslaw
